A Guide to Experiencing Deeper Faith in God

1. First off, you must choose to want to do this journey with God. Simply let Him know that you desire to blend your life with His. Since this is what you were created for, this is as natural as taking a breath. A simple surrender of your heart into God's hands ... “Lord, I want to do life together with you. Please show me and teach me how to do this. I thank you for forgiving me of my shortcomings and sin and for securing eternal life for me when You died on the cross. Help me to be and become the person You created me to be and to love you with my whole heart.”

2. Now that you have established a friendship and relationship with God, take time to talk with Him. This is commonly known as prayer. Chat with Him throughout the day with whatever is concerning you or on your mind. Whatever concerns you, concerns God. He is ALL about you and loves you with unbridled passion.

4. Begin to memorize nuggets of Truth from God's love letters to you. Your Bible is your treasure box filled with promises from God's heart to yours. When you tuck His truth into your mind and heart, your faith will begin to bloom. There are lists of God's promises online that you can print out.

5. Find your tribe and your place of belong. Dialing into a place of worship is essential. This looks different for everyone. Seek out a church that you feel comfortable in and people that share your like interests. But make sure they pass this test in their belief department: The Bible being the God-breathed words of life; Salvation is by grace through faith; The Trinity – The Father, his son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Then dig in and get involved in doing life with folks on the same team!

6. Worship is your spirit communing with God's spirit. Crank up some music that exalts God and get lost in your thoughts of loving Jesus. Whatever flavor of music that speaks your language is the one for you.

7. Share your God adventure with others and allow the love that has been poured into you to overflow. You never know the difference it may make in another's life when you freely spill the love of Jesus.
